Draglin is interrupted in his move by the floor opening up in front of him.

OOC: The map has been updated to reflect the trap, now visible. I will place other bad guys that have been pointed out in character

Perception DC 25: The character notices the false stonework.
Trigger: The trap attacks when a creature enters one of the trap’s four squares.
Attack: Immediate Reaction M elee
Target: The creature that triggered the trap.
Attack: +9 vs. Reflex
Hit: Target falls into pit, takes 1d10+2 damage, and falls prone.
Miss: Target returns to the last square it occupied and its move action ends immediately.
Effect: The false floor opens and the pit is no longer hidden.
Countermeasures
✦ An adjacent character can trigger the trap with a DC 15 Thievery check (standard action). The floor falls into the pit.
✦ An adjacent character can disable the trap with a DC 30 Thievery check (standard action). The floor becomes safe.
✦ A character who makes an Athletics check (DC 16, or DC 26 without a running start) can jump over the pit.
✦ A character can climb out with a DC 20 Athletics check.

Battlefront Leader Power

Any ally within three squares of max can shift 1/2 movement speed as a free action.

Bravura Presence

When an ally Max sees spends an action point to take another action to use it as an attack, the ally can choose to take advantage of this feature before the attack roll.

If the ally chooses to do so and the attack hits, then the ally can choose to do the following after the AP action:
* make a basic attack +1 to hit (due to feat: improved bravura)
or
* make a move action as a free action +1 added to ally's speed for movement (due to feat: improved bravura)

If the AP attack misses, the ally grants CA to all enemies TENT.

Clearly worth the risk :)

Dante and Virgil move into the room just as Draglin crashes through the floor. Dante quickly locates the leader of the enemies and in a blur his chain is in his hands, the kamas detached and whistling through the air towards the dragon man.

OOC: I too am curious, this doesn't seem to be a surprise round (1 standard action only)?

Does the table provide cover? I'm assuming so, if not raise Dante's attacks appropriately.

Is the pit trap revealed by Draglin falling into it? If so, see Dante's alternate action below.

OOC: Actually if Draglin had +4 to ref from Jonathan, he would not fall into the pit since he would have 24 ref.

But would it not count since he has higher init than Jonathan?

OOC: Luinnar: As per Mal's rules, character's actions happen in the order they are posted. So Draglin (who spoiled the Surprise Round by making SO much noise the whole time) also ran in before anyone could say or do anything. Don't worry, all characters get the +4 bonus for at LEAST a round.

IronSky: Not a surprise round: The PCs just have won initiative.

OOC: IronSky, what is the range of Spiked Chain. Dante doesn't need to use Perception, but he is adjacent to Draglin and the Pit Trap. Did you already update the map.

OOC: Spiked Chain has Reach 2. Farbond Spellblade weapons are Heavy Thrown 5/10. So Dante has Melee Reach 2, Ranged 5/10 with his Farbond Spellblade Spiked Chain +2.

In that case, Quarry and +3 damage. I did update the map, just forgot to mention that I did.
