The divine shock Eithal receives is enough to throw off her aim; the beast closest to her manages to avoid the worst of her flurry of blows. It bites her as she closes in for the attack and then snaps again at her after she finishes.

The shrieker, still burning from "Harold's" magic, caws in a low voice before building up to a deafening blast. "Caaaw... Caaaww!!! KKIIIIILLL!!!!" Eithal and Beatrice reel in pain from the noise, and the murderous word continues to echo supernaturally in their immediate area. The bird then runs screaming away from the heroes.

The winged lizard then rushes Beatrice again. It seizes her in its grip and then carries her off, flying to the far side of the trees. Beatrice doesn't seem particularly worried by the ordeal. The other flying beast, perhaps in fear of Damen's crossbow, flees to the trees as well. Beatrice waves at the beast, trying to be friendly. Unforunately for her, the flier is not so receptive to her gestures. It tears at Beatrice with a series of bites and claw strikes, sending the old lady to the ground.

The other shrieking bird-lizard cries at Jarel-karn, but its voice just isn't as powerful as the one attacking Beatrice. The genasi ignores the annoyance. Likewise, the larger flightless lizard snaps at him but is easily dodged.

[sblock=Beatrice]While lying on the ground in a puddle of blood, you deliriously picture yourself attacking your former allies, still trying to protect the lizardfolk.
OOC: I suspect you'll be unconscious when you take your turn, so I don't really have an action for you. I guess if anyone heals you, attack them if you can.

[sblock=actions]Eithal's turn: In response to Eithal's shifting, Flightless 1 makes a bite attack against her. It hits AC 26 for 13 damage. Also, flightless 1 is missed by Eithal's attack because she's marked by Beatrice. It takes half damage and only slides 1 square (I'll assume in the same direction). Shrieker 1 and Flier 2 take 2 damage for leaving Scarm's zone.

Shrieker 1: Standard: Echoing Cry burst 1 on H2. Crits Eithal for 27 psychic damage and hits Will 32 on Beatrice for 17 psychic damage. A zone is created in the burst until the end of the encounter. If you end your turn in it, Shrieker 1 can slide you 3 squares. Move to P1.

Flightless 1: Move to E2:F3, taking 2 damage from Scarm's zone. Standard: Bite vs Eithal misses AC 1.

Flier 2: Move to J2:K3. Move: Abduct vs Beatrice hits Reflex 26. It grabs her and flies off, releasing her at C11 and landing at C9:D10. This doesn't provoke OAs.

Shrieker 2: Recharges its Shriek. Moves to J14. Standard: Shriek vs Jarel-karn misses Will 17.

Flightless 2: Bite vs Jarel-karn misses AC 23. It takes 5 lightning damage for trying to attack.

Flier 1: Moves to C13:D14. Standard: Flaying Claws vs Beatrice crits for 29 damage and 5 ongoing (save ends). Ouch.[/sblock]

OOC: Anyone else have any healing or want to help Beatrice spend her second wind? (and kill everyone, hmm maybe you should wait, you still roll saves when dying correct?)

Yishim moves forward and chants a very complicated spell, backwards and forwards, sideways and in circles, until the air around the two fliers seems to warp in and out, and they end up somewhere else entirely.

Seeing Beatrice carried off and dumped unceremoniously behind the thicket, "Harold" squawks in sheer frustration, with no magical effect resulting at all. He dashes forward and inflates his chest once again. "SQUAWK!!" The usual shower of blue-white sparks appears, and much to "Harold"'s relief, only charred corpses remain once the wave of blue flames dies down.

OOC: The only healing I've got is a potion. I'll try it if I can get over there.

From the darkness, a volley of bolts flies out. The first bursts through one of the shrieker's skull; it squawks at it slumps over. Two more strike the other shrieker, one in a critical section of its flank.

When the darkness dissipates, Damen is nowhere to be seen.
OOC: Normal RBA (no SA, though it does have CA) vs Shrieker 1 to finish it off: Hit, its dead. Then, spend AP w/ Bravura to fire at Shrieker 2 w/ Backstab: Hit, 32 dmg. If that hits, attack it again (from Bravura): Hit, 16 (total of 48). Then, move over to M17 to hide again: 31.

Immediate Interrupts: If attacked and a +4 would negate it, the attack misses and Damen can shift up to 3 squares (Cunning Escape). Otherwise, if hit vs AC or Reflex and the attack would bloody him or is a crit, he takes only half damage (Step Aside).

Jarel=karn charge his sword and unleash a ligthning bolt that jump from the fligthless in front of him to the shrieker, badly burning them both.

2) Trigger: A marked enemy with your Aegis of Shielding target Jarel-karn and at least one ally with an attack. Power: Leather Armor of Aegis Expansion +2 Effect: The damage of the triggering attack is reduced by 7.

3) Trigger: An enemy hit in melee any ally within 5 squares and is within 5 squares of another enemy. Power: Dimensional Vortex Effect: Ranged 5; +13 vs. Will against triggering enemy. If hit, you teleport the target 5 squares next to an enemy. The target make his melee attack against the most damaged enemy and do an extra 5 damages if it is marked by Jarel-karn. If there is no target valid, he expend the attack.
