I am prepared to be disappointed.
Always a good place to start with this stuff. Nowhere to go but up!I am prepared to be disappointed.
And why do you hate PCs being special? I am honestly curious.PC, yes. Players no.
Because nothing about a human (for example) that happens to be played by a player is different than a human played by the GM, except they were probably luckier than average in their statline. They have the exact same potential and given the opportunity and/or hard work could achieve the same things. Treating them as any more special than having the camera turned in their direction is IMO disingenuous. And why do you hate PCs being special? I am honestly curious.
I see it the other way around… at this point the PHB is a lost cause, it gets worse with every playtest. By now I am pretty sure I will skip it or jump ship entirely (probably to something 5e compatible)Probably not, and we do not need it.
Rather, we need more PHB UAs.
It does not matter how good MM or DMG will be if PHB will suck.
Use them with their lair actions and they are much better.Really hope metallic/chromatic dragons get a complete redo. They're meant to be the title monster of the game, but in combat they're just a block of HP and a breath weapon.
I’m sure the statblocks will disappoint at some level, my DM makes much better monsters; however, I’m really just want the new art. The dragon previews were amazing!I am prepared to be disappointed.
