As Simeon, Capizzio and the rest cautiously sneak forward two enormous arachnids drop from above onto Simeon and Capizzio, their dagger-like mandibles going "snicker-snack"! Simeon is struck* for 13 points of damage (saving throw vs. poison please, DC 16), but Capizzio manages somehow to elude the creepy fangs.

"Why did it have to be spiders? I hate spiders!" Manny carries on to himself in a similar vein as he hurriedly dismounts from Relós and moves to attack. The two of them move to flank one of the spiders and proceed to tear into it . . .

The spiders move to attack Simeon and Capizzio again, but before they can, Spider A falls dead from Tylara's Magic Missiles, sparing Simeon! Capizzio, however, is impaled on the grotesque spider's fangs. Capizzio must make a DC 16 Fort save, or take 1d8 Str damage, and he takes 13 hp damage, regardless of the success of his save.

Wits gathered Kerlan takes action and begins casting a spell. Suddenly bony looking jaws made of pure force and filled with razor sharp teeth appear in the air around him. As he concentrates, they fly at the nearest spider and begin to savagely tear into it.
