And that’s the first half of Round 3. (It’s finally starting to get winnowed down to a more manageable number of combatants!)

It's beginning to get pretty cutthroat in here. Both Adam Sandler and John Belushi each had to pit their two remaining movies against each other in Round 2, so they're both in danger of getting knocked out entirely. Jim Carrey, Tom Hanks, and Robin Williams have all already fallen. Many more will join them this round.

There are a few unsurprisingly strong contenders - Monty Python, Mel Brooks, Kevin Smith, and the various SNL alumni are faring well.

I can definitely forecast a few of the probable bracket winners, but I'm very intrigued by what's going to happen in Brackets 5 and 6. Whichever comes out atop that heap just might be my pick to win the whole thing.

I Screwed Up. On quiz 4-1, question #8 was supposed to be Shaun of the Dead versus Anchorman, but I mistakenly put Borat in there.
