Old School Campaigns

Don't want this forum to be 4E dominated, so lets talk about B/X, BECM/RC D&D campaigns.
Anyone running one? There's a similar thread at rpg.net but I thought we could have one here as well.
I am currently running B/X D&D, since inspired by Labyrinth Lord to go back to the basics and experience
old school play. Running a dungeon crawl with 3 players and tons of retainers.
Anyone currently running one? ANd if you are, do you have any new classes? I though of
incorporating 3.5 prestige classes into the campiagn, but unsure if to make them
actual classes or device a method similar to proto prestige classes. I am leaning to
the latter.

As for old school campaigns, I knwo the DMing and playing style contibutes to the ols schoolness
but how about storylines? 3.5 sources and fluff are good but unsure whether I should
incorporate them.

My current activity:

Running OD&D (1974) Homebrew Campaign
Running OD&D (1974) B4 Lost City Campaign
Playing Swords & Wizardy Core (OD&D retro-clone) City State Campaign

All these are face-to-face, around-the-table games (I don't play unless I can hand you a beer or a coke, and we can share a pizza). That last one is run by Matt Finch (the guy who wrote Pod Caverns of the Sinister Shroom).

No new classes in my games. So far, it's just Fighting Man, Magic User, and Cleric. (Although in my B4 campaign we used to have a Thief.) I wouldn't rule out a different class, but so far there's been no need for one.

As for storylines, I tend to prefer that my players generate the "story." In my homebrew, especially, I set up the environment, and they choose where to go and what to do. Typically, any "story" starts writing itself; it comes directly out of play. I don't know where it's going. I'm not a fan of adventure paths that plot things way out in advance.

Sadly, Matt isn't able to run his City State game this weekend, but we'll be playing a session of Stormbringer, instead. I'm looking forward to that; I haven't played Stormbringer in years.

My tabletop game is a 3.5e/Mentzer BECM mash-up. Running C&C Tegel Manor and just started a new Labyrinth Lord PBEM. Also running a Mutant Future PBEM.

Edit: I find the old-style games' simplicity & GM discretion are much better for PBEM/PBP play than more complex, battleboard-centric games like 3e.

Until June I ran an AD&D game with B2. We completed that adventure. When we start again that campaign, we'll probably use the Temple of Elemental Evil.

In a week or two, I'll start running 2 PBEM AD&D games. One will be I8 Ravager of Time and the other I6 Ravenloft. I'm also playing in another PBEM game of AD&D.

Running an AD&D campaign currently; group is in it's third year, this campaign is only a few months old (last campaign ended when the party split up after suffering horrendous losses during a side trek in the middle of G3).

"AD&D? I'm soaking in it!"

Every once in a while I'll run an OD&D one-shot using "In Search of the Unknown."

And everytime the players roll up characters, somebody exclaims: "What!?! Clerics don't get spells at 1st level!!!" And everybody laughs.
----

I ran an AD&D campaign last spring. I enjoyed the free-formness of it, so did the players. Combat ran A LOT faster than it did in 3.5e. The players hated, however, that everytime their characters leveled up they need to consult me in case they got better saving throws and attacks--those things aren't in the AD&D PHB.
