Poll of Polls

What is your relationship with polls, particularly ones about D&D?

Maybe I'm naive, but I think Mike is seriously interested in whether he should be seriously interested in EN World polls.

If I were someone who has issues with WotC, I'd consider this as a sign that my voice is being heard.

I voted that I didn't vote in this poll, by the way, because I didn't vote in it.

It appears obvious to me that it's just fun, playful sarcasm.

But hidden in the poll is the fact that someone at WOTC (at least mearls) is reading these polls.

Man, I hope the thread lasts long enough before lockage for Diaglo to see it.

More seriously, I have been following all the polls lately. We'd be foolish to close our eyes and ears to what people are saying. Heck, I made a point of reading every last one star review of 4e on Amazon.com. If the price of getting to work on D&D is developing a thick skin then, well, that's a small price to pay.

As 4e moves forward, it makes sense to listen to both people who like the game, to get a sense of what they're looking for, and people who dislike the game, to address concerns when possible and find areas of weakness that we can strengthen.

Anyway, this weekend it seemed like every time I came to this forum, there were like 18 new polls. This is a "humorous" (YMMV) attempt to get people to lighten up a little.

If its serious, its seriously flawed. I vote on polls occasionally, without arguing about it, but there's no button for that. And, of course, the 'I don't vote in polls, even this one' button is just silly. So I didn't vote.

D&D is serious business. :hmm:

;)

I blame the fact that it's not election season anymore...where are we to direct our random opinions?! WHERE?!
