Ballista nods her head as she looks at the gem. "Since that didn't open up any kind of way forward, looks like we only have those two mist-filled archways as our paths deeper into this place."

She casts detect magic as she looks at the newly aquired stone.

As his fellow grave robbers begin to wrap up their investigation of this room and prepare to move onward, exploring ever more insidious portions of Acererak's tomb, Logan whimpers quietly, girds his loins tightly, and readies himself to join them resignedly.

Based on our experiences thus far, the new gem is likely to be more useful than as a simple piece of treasure. After all, the diamonds we found on the necklace were needed to activate the statue.
