Yah we have no healer. In 3.5 a healer is still necessary unfortunately, unless we were just playing a pure roleplaying campaign which none of us is really designed for.

Healer is only necessary if Dragonwriter arranges encounter such that we will always become badly injured and need to be at full health for every fight.

While I realize that ' happens', I also feel the chances are, DW can create encounters that can challenge us without killing us until such a time as a healer joins the group.

I plan adventures to work with the group's dynamic. And since Platinus has Crusader's Strike and Martial Spirit stance, he can provide some healing in-combat, as they can target allies within 10 feet. Jasper can also heal if you guys buy a Wand of Cure Light Wounds.

(The healer slot honestly is not a requirement in any game. In fact, it can be fun and challenging without one, but a wand of CLW works just fine anyway.)

When you get a payday, you might be able to afford a wand. Which you don't even need to know CLW to use...

My point was, the healer role is not strictly necessary (I think, of my games (not just PbP), only 1 actually has a semi-dedicated healer... And the groups do just fine, if not better. )
