Kruk stares admiration at the beautiful doors, stunned at the sight of the pure adamantite metal. After a long period of time Kruk states "The master blacksmith was tell'n the truth after all. I...I never believe they existed, not until now." A tear comes to his eyes. He wipes it away with his forearm, looking both ways to make sure no one was watching. "Hmmmf...somethings in my eye."

Raiyek removes his helmet to give a clear view of his face and bows gracefully to the unseen speaker."Well met," is all the elf adds to Georg's greeting, waiting patiently for the sentry's response.

With a great grinding sound, that could only be gears of immense size grinding together as the right door opens no more than a few feet or so, just enough for you to file in single-file. A dour-looking dwarf carrying a massive, two handed bladed weapon that none of you have likely encountered before. Various ornate symbols are all evident on the dwarf's armour, they depict a feathered woman.

From under his helmet the dwarf says "So, what do you want with us? We don't take strangers under our roof." warily as his hands grip the weapon tightly.

You notice there are some cleverly hidden holes above the door that must carry the sound from down here. Also, you notice a trio of dwarves have some sort of metal tube pointed at the doorway, and therefore you.

Georg walks slowly through the doors, marveling for a moment at their construction. As he looks up, he does a double take and nudges the person behind him. They have us covered I would say. he whispers before saying to the guard. We were attacked by humans and we would know what brigands they were. The answers to these questions are valuable to us.

"Yes, there are various tribes of savage humans around here, athough the halfling's who ride the thunder-lizards are far deadlier, thank Cihuacoatl for that travellers. What would you know outlander cousin?" the guard says although he has yet to move from the doorway.

What about the humans with one eye gouged out Kruk thinks to himself, barely able to stop himself from blurting it out. Hmmm, I better let the others carry on the conversation here. Kruk tries his best to stay alert, although it is difficult to do so with all of the dwarven stone work to look at. It's been awhile since I've seen anything like this.

Kruk scans the room in awe, then turns to the dwarf talking to Georg and states in dwaven language "The stone work is...breathtaking...I've...I've never seen anything like it. I know first hand how much effort and time it must have taken to achieve a work such as this. My compliments to you and your clan." He continues to scan, then then asks another question, again in dwarven tongue. "Our last encounter involve a run in with a group of humans, all with one eye gouged out. Have you heard of a group around here who follow such a "strange" practice?"

"Aha, a clever arrangement. And of course excellent dwarven stonework," Raiyek compliments the dwarves, motioning towards the hidden holes that let sound reach below the door.

While letting his dwarven friends continue with the talking the elf nudges his non-dwarven companions and tries to subtly indicate the trio of guards, in case things went badly.
[sblock=OOC]Religion; Perception (1d20+6=16, 1d20+11=13). Dunno why I rolled perception since my passive score is enough to notice. Continuing with my apparent lack of any knowledge of Valley of Bone religion, however ;)

Insight (1d20+9=18) To try to get a bearing on how the dwarves' conversation is going. And of course listening for any possible misdirections from the guard-dwarf :)[/sblock]
