If the D&D team wants a good example of how to network with the fans, I suggest they take their example from RODNEY FREAKIN' THOMPSON. That man has had the best point of presence with his fans, from message boards to fan podcasts, and has been able to please his fanbase like no one I've seen at WotC lately. I'm sure there've been bad words said about SW Saga and Rodney, but the majority of the fan interaction I've seen has been nothing but respect. WotC cancels the line recently, and what has the majority of comment been? "Thank you, Rodney, for an awesome job." I'm not saying the D&D team has been lax (unlike what was going on in about 2003-2005 IMO) but whatever he's been doing, he's been doing it right.
