Hearing the alarm raised and sounds of combat ahead, Jarren returns Unit 16's look with a quick nod and prepares to call his spirit companion to take shape in the middle of the enemy camp.

Creates a burst 1 zone until the end of my next turn. Creatures that enter a zone takes 4 psychic damage and is slowed until end of it's next turn.
Is that zone centered on the hobgoblin or where is it centered, exactly? This melee type needs to know.[/sblock]

[sblock=zone]Centered on the hobgoblin. :)

I did this so I could teleport the dwarf away.

I believe it still creates the zone even if it misses right?[/sblock]

[sblock=zone]Yes, that is an effect so it happens no matter what. Yeah, getting that dwarf away was a good move regardless. We'll see how the "chains" handle their situation.[/sblock]

Nodding as Grys gives the go ahead, Ryda slides out from behind the tent. A look of surprise washes over the Hobgoblin at the halforc being so close, quickly replaced by a grunt of pain as an arrow catches him in the shoulder. You said to come out, so I did. And look, my hand is even over my head. She smuggly laughs, pulling another arrow from the quiver on her back. Unfortunately for her, the second shot is well off the mark.

Now, do you take the time to stick that dwarf there, or you gonna come get a little payback? Ryda taunts, hoping the hobgoblin doesn't kill the poor fellow. Well, time to see how well you can take a hit! she thinks to herself, bracing for the coming onslaught.

Blasted tree, Mythra says, pulling his cloak away from the branch.

After seeing the hobgoblin he smirks and utters an arcane phrase and with a gesture unleashes a spell on him. The dwarf is teleported next to Ryda with a surprised look on his face.

The chain wielding hobgoblin growls in anger as his bargaining chip is moved away and begins spinning his chain in an expert manner, his feet rapidly stepping as he moves past Ryda, just catching the ranger with his chain and then onto Mythra catching the wizard with a hard blow.

The other chain-fighter disappears behind the tent.

[sblock=OOC]Ryda is missed with a 21, Her armor increases her AC against her quarry to 22. I thought I added that in, but apparently forgot. Sorry :eek:[/sblock]

[sblock=Ryda's disappearance]Ryda has mysteriously disappeared from the map! :) I think she's still at P26 though.[/sblock]
[sblock=question]So is the fog still in play? We still can only see 5 squares out - is that right? Does the fog give everyone concealment at some range or how does that affect things mechanically?[/sblock]

"Ryda, protect the Dwarf. I'll help Mythra and cut off this flank. Keep an eye behind you." Grys says.

[sblock=Actions]
Move: Move to K28, avoiding the zone
Minor: Aegis of Shielding on Chain 97, he is marked (-2 to hit others), if he hits someone other than Grys, Grys will immediate interrupt to lower the damage by 6
Standard: Scorching Burst whomever he can

Since I cannot see who is over to the west, Grys will Scorching Burst any 2 or 3 (or more) enemies that are within a 3x3 area that he can see. Note: a foe needs Total Concealment or Superior Cover in order to be Stealth hidden. Normal Concealment or Cover doesn't do it, so a foe must be 6 squares away from Grys to be hidden (unless he does have Total Concealment or Superior Cover within 5 squares).

If Grys cannot target 2 or more enemies, he will target Scimitar 33 with it.

Scorching Burst vs. Reflex: 29 critical, 29 critical, and 16, 1d6+1d6 (foe not damaged yet) +7=19 damage for critical, 17 damage for 3rd attack criticals do not do extra damage.

Any foe that Grys hit takes 5 points of damage if that foe attacks Grys.

[sblock=ooc]Just wondering why you would activate it since it will not be enough to stop the attack?[/sblock]
