Jarren follows close on the heels of Unit 16, coming up short once he's in a position with a decent view of the melee ahead. He focuses for a moment and his spirit companion flashes into being in the middle of the combat. With a hiss the feathered serpent rears back and lunges at the chain-wielding hobgoblin. As its fangs find their mark, Grys and Ryda feel an invigorating surge of energy flowing into them from the spirit.

[sblock=OOC]Move to P30

Call Spirit Companion to L29

Protecting Strike on the Hob at M30: 1d20+9=23, damage 1d8+7=10, and Grys and Ryda each gain 3 temp hp.[/sblock]

Mythra steps away from his opponent. With a word a swarm of electric beetles conjure out of thin air and attack the scimitar hobgoblins.

You only roll 1 damage roll for area attacks, although the second missed anyways. Also, please list which ones you're targeting in the Invisible castle description. Ex: vs ref (O5);dmg;vs ref (P5);dmg (1d20+10=11, 2d4+5=9, 1d20+10=28, 2d4+5=13) [/sblock]

[sblock=init]I'm going to assume - like I believe Mezegis has - that when you posted "your turn" next to all of us, that meant we could go in whatever order - is that ok? If that's the case, then Unit 16 will technically be going after Mythra, which means the Grasping Shadows zone is gone.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
No, I didn't intend this. I meant it as it was all your turns to go before the next group of enemies. We'll assume this time you delayed, but in the future, we'll use initiative order [/sblock]

Unit 16 hears the fighting start and bolts forward toward the center of camp, as per the plan. Seeing enemies all around, he hears Ryda's yell and nods in acknowledgment, mid-stride. He turns on the spot and throws everything into a rush toward the scimitar-wielding hobgoblins, grabbing their attention and then swinging at them with his hammer. His blow seems to have missed the mark, but at least they will have to think twice before ignoring him.

Ryda takes aim at the Hobgoblin who attacked her, unleashing a pair of shafts. Susan, Help Grys, I’ll distract this one! She calls out, and scurries into melee range of the chain weilder.

The dwarf steps next to Ryda, and pulls out a dagger. With expert skill the dwarf stabs twice in the ranger's back before Ryda can even turn around. The dwarf has a sadistic grin on his face as he retracts the bloody weapon. "Be careful what you wish for" he cackles.

The hobgoblin with the chain continues to dance and spin, his chain hurling towards Ryda, but she is able block it with her bow. Unperterbed, the hobgoblin continues his dance and the chain catches Mythra for a minor wound, but Grys' enchantment blocks almost all of the damage. His spin carries him into Jarren, but between the fog and Grys' distraction, the blow is wide.

The remaining enemy comes out from behind the tent, his own movements nearly breathtaking as he steps and spins, the spiked chain slamming into Susan's back, continuing on into Grys and finally he steps next to Ryda and this time the half-orc is not so lucky.

The rain continues to fall, the fog roils and thunder and lightning continue overhead, shadows cast about wildly with each bolt in the sky.

Jarren hits Chain 97 for 10 - please make sure you list what defense your attack targets (a 23 hits all of them)
Mythra - hits S12 for 6 and it will take 3 at start of turn
Susan misses on her charge, but still marks (BTW the free action takes place after the charge, not during it as that's one action to charge.)
Ryda hits for 13 and moves up.
Dwarf shifts and attacks Ryda - Hits twice for 22 & 15 damage or 37 total damage
Chain 97 uses Dance of Death - shifts to Q 31, attacking Ryda, Mythra, and Jarren along the way - misses Ryda, hits Mythra for 7 and misses Jarren - Grys can uses his immediate action to reduce the damage to Mythra by 6
Chain 14 uses Dance of Death - shifts to P29 - attacks Ryda, Susan, and Grys - Hits all three, Ryda for 7, Susan for 11, Grys for 7

Chain 97 - quarried by Ryda, marked by Grys
Scimitar 33 - takes 5 points of damage if that foe attacks Grys. Marked by Susan (-3 to attack anyone other than Unit 16)
Scimitar 12 - marked by Susan (-3 to attack anyone other than Unit 16)

Initiative:

Ryda - 25 - -36 hp (you get 5 thp's when bloodied, but they've already been drained by the Chain 14's attack)
Mythra - 23 - -11hp
Susan (Unit 16) - 9 - -11hp
Chains - 23
Grys - 18 - -4hp <- Your turn
Scimitars - 17
Jarren - 14 -

Mythra has -17 hp (10 + 7) so that means he has 21 now.

How do you want to handle utility interrupts? Should I just post I am using Shield spell after I am hit?[/sblock]

Yes that will work and Shield will block that last attack, however Grys will block 6 of the damage with his Aegis of Shielding so not sure you want to use it to save against 1 damage [/sblock]

"Everyone but Susan, take the Chain Hobgoblins out first." Grys shouts as flames leap around the battlefield, setting foes on fire.

[sblock=Actions]
Grys used his immediate action last round to reduce the damage to Mythra by 6.

Minor: Turn Keke invisible (Keke is still in Q24 where Grys left it last turn)
Move: Move to M26

This provokes Opportunity Attacks from both Scim12 and Scim33 at -3 (marked by Susan) if they want to take it (effectively AC 25 against them). If either does, that will allow Susan a Combat Challenge against one of them.

Standard: Fire Shroud Scim12, Scim33, Dwarf, and Chain14 in that order

Fire Shroud vs. Fort: Scim12 (21 to hit, 10 total damage), Scim33 (critical, 15 total damage), Dwarf (15 to hit, 15 total damage), and Chain14 (26 to hit, 15 total damage) criticals do not do extra damage, but Challenge-Seeking Longsword against Dwarf and Chain14 for 5 extra damage (total 15).

This probably misses the Dwarf, but any of them hit take 5 Ongoing Fire damage (save ends) as well.

"Everyone but Susan, take the Chain Hobgoblins out first." Grys shouts as flames leap around the battlefield, setting foes on fire. The scimitar wielders leave Grys for now, deciding to focus on the warforged.

The scimitar wielders begin circling around Susan and slash at their foe with their wickedly curved blades. The attacks are fast and furious, catching the warforged three times past its defenses. The one on fire dances away, but still can't put the arcane fire out.

*Grys hits all but the dwarf (third crit? Wow!). Hobs use hobgoblin resilience and S33 and Chain 14 make their saves.

S33 shifts 2 to L28 and readies an action, S12 shifts to J26 and attacks (the shift also triggers S33's attack) - 1 hits AC 31 for 8, 1 hits AC 22 for 8 , 1 hits AC 29 for 13, and one hits AC 21 for 7. S12 then uses a free action to shift away from Unit 16, but fails his save

Chain 97 - quarried by Ryda, marked by Grys
Scimitar 33 - Marked by Susan (-3 to attack anyone other than Unit 16), bloodied
Scimitar 12 - marked by Susan (-3 to attack anyone other than Unit 16), ongoing 5 fire (save ends)

Initiative:

Ryda - 25 - -36 hp (you get 5 thp's when bloodied, but they've already been drained by the Chain 14's attack)
Mythra - 23 - -11hp
Susan (Unit 16) - 9 - -30hp, bloodied
Chains - 23
Grys - 18 - -4hp
Scimitars - 17
Jarren - 14 - <- Your turn

[sblock=OOC]Apologies for no IC text, I'm rushed just at the moment. Jarren will delay until after Ryda and Mythra.[/sblock]
