Basher7

The Warforged shifts to the flank of the Mountain Ogre trying to evade his grasp (to N17). Lining up opposite Khellek, servos whine as Basher7 adjusts his grip on the Craghammer to raise it high and puts his full weight behind the blow smashing powerfully into into the Mountain Ogre's head. Had his designers included the facial structure necessary to create a smile on Basher7 he would employ it now.

[sblock=actions]
Move=Shift to n17
Standard attack=
Brash Strike Fighter Attack 1
With a battle cry, you throw your whole body behind your attack.
At-Will ✦ Martial, Weapon
Standard Action Melee weapon
Target: One creature
Attack: Strength + 2 vs. AC
Hit: 1[W] + Strength modifier damage.
Increase damage to 2[W] + Strength modifier at 21st level.
Weapon: If you’re wielding an axe, a hammer, or a mace, the attack deals extra damage equal to your Constitution modifier.
Effect: You grant combat advantage to the target until the
start of your next turn.

Battlerager Vigor: Each time an enemy hits you with a melee or a close attack, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (after the attack is resolved).
When you gain temporary hit points by hitting with an attack that has the invigorating keyword, those temporary hit points stack with any other temporary hit points you already have.
When wearing light armor or chainmail, you gain a +1 bonus to damage rolls with melee and close weapon attacks whenever you have temporary hit points. This bonus increases to +2 if you’re wielding an axe, a hammer, a mace, or a pick.

Combat Challenge: In combat, it’s dangerous to ignore a fighter. Every time you attack an enemy, whether the attack hits or misses, you can choose to mark that target. The mark lasts until the end of your next turn. While a target is marked, it takes a –2 penalty to attack rolls for any attack that doesn’t include you as a target. A creature can be subject to only one mark at a time. A new mark supersedes a mark that was already in place.
In addition, whenever a marked enemy that is adjacent to you shifts or makes an attack that does not include you, you can make a melee basic attack against that enemy as an immediate interrupt.
Ogre remains marked.

Winterhaven - Urval/Fang battle

[sblock=OOC WD]The Mountain Ogre does have a threatening reach -- it's really quite large [12 feet tall] despite its small appearance on the map, which is why I state on the map that the (Mountain) Ogre is not shown to scale. Does this knowledge change how you wish to act? If so edit away![/sblock]

Still need actions for Elerosse and Khellek

[sblock=OOC Leif]Their is a big difference between threatening reach and normal reach in 4e. Many big creatures (including giants) have reach but not theatening reach.

Reach: is the reach of their attacks
Threatening reach: is the reach of their OA (distance in which they can make opportunity attacks.

Don't want to be a smartass, I just wanted to make my question more precise.

But I think I will keep my action anyway.[/sblock]

[sblock=WD]Thanks Dad, I did not know that! Then the answer is NO, there is no 'threatening reach' here.[/sblock]

The shifter's struggles continue as he attacks wildly.

Move: n/a
Standard: Executioner's Call on Urval (1d20+9+2=18, 1d10+5=15) hits AC 18 for 15 damage. If that hits, all allies gain +2 damage bonus on attacks against Urval TENT. Plus, Ghraere gets +4 bonus to hit on next attack against it.
Free: Enter Rune of Destruction State - allies gain +1 to hit the wolf

Winterhaven - End of Urval/Fang battle

Ghraere continues to circle the Ogre counterclockwise and fires two more arrows that sink deep into the Ogre's flesh. Basher7 the Warforged shifts to the flank of the Mountain Ogre, trying to evade his grasp, and as he lines up opposite Khellek, there is heard the distince whine of his servos as he brings his Craghammer smashing down powerfully on the Mountain Ogre's pate. The Minotaur Barbarian and the Shifter Cleric both miss, but I matters little as Urval topples and slowly falls after Ghraere's and Basher7's attacks. He groans a last time and is still, as still as his slain Dire Wolf. The Heroes note that Fang wears a collar that sparkles in the sunshine, and Urval has a bag tied at his waist, but he has fallen on it, and it will require some considerable effort to move his dead weight off of it. It is also clear that Urval has something strapped or lashed to his back. It looks like a wooden shield, but it was obviously doing the ogre no good defensively lashed to his back as it is.

You may consider this the first Milestone of the day!

OOC: Didn't get an action for Elerosse ([MENTION=51567]Lou[/MENTION]) for that last round, but since the foes had been defeated anyway, I just went ahead without him. No offense intended, Lou!

Basher7 hangs his Craghammer at his belt and detaches his own shield to free his hands to remove the 'shield' from Urval's back. That done he looks to the others, "Let's roll this brute over."

Tarrk

Tarrk uses his long stout weapon as a lever as he helps to roll the ogre on the other side. "Yes, the spoils of war!" he says delighted.
