If you could play in a campaign of your choice, what would it be?

The campaign of my choice isn't about system or setting, but about the people at the table. I've found I can find a way to be happy with any game that isn't total crap, just so long as I'm with the right set of other players and GM.

I've already played a lot of different game systems as it is. I started with D&D 1e, have played DC Heroes, Star Wars (d6, d20), MSH, Palladium, Fantasy, Rifts, and HU, MSH TSR, but not saga nor the diceless Marvel Universe, White Wolf's Vampire TM and Werewolf TA, Twilight 2000, a smattering of Harn and Chivalry and Sorcery.

I've never played M&M though. Nor Gurps even though I have the books. Or AFMBE or BTVS/Angel. AoD rpgs and would like to play in those.

I'd love to play in a Pathfinder campaign: either one set in Golarion or Freeport.

I'd also like to try out:

A Spycraft campaign
A Fantasycraft campaign
A Mutants & Masterminds campaign

I want to play in a Sci-Fi space Opera Adventure Path, published by Paizo, created by James Jacobs and written by the gang of adventure authors who are the usual suspects for Paizo's Adventure Paths.

That would rock.

The fact that neither the rules system nor the AP for same exists does not diminish the fact that it would rock.

I'd be just as content to play in such an AP written for the SW:SE system - but that's not going to happen. (And no, the AP that does exist for SW:SE is just not to my liking and does not have the bells, whistles and sheer amount of money spent on it that a full Paizo AP does).

So with that masturbatory wishlist out of the way?

Playing in a Legacy of Fire or Rise of the Runelords campaign for Pathfinder RPG is looking pretty good to me.

Mage: the Ascension by a GM who knew the rules well enough to fix the many, many bad design decisions, yet preserve the kernel of total awesomeness at the core of the game.

Exalted run by that same perfect (and therefore implausible) GM.

Cheers, -- N

I'd also like to play in a Star Trek campaign as a human with Psychic powers. They've already shown these kinds of abilities in the past.

Imagine being an archeologist with the power of Psychometry, the ability to read the past.

I think that goes without saying. But maybe I can rephrase it a bit for you: What kind of campaign would you like to play that you haven't played?

Star*Drive and Dark*Matter. I always have to DM them. I'd love to have another good DM run it instead so I could play in them.

I'd also love to play in a Serenity, BSG, or Supernatural campaign. Fantasy-wise, a Wheel of Time or a Game of Thrones campaign.

I don't think it does go without saying. Many people around here swear they *won't* play a specific edition of D&D, or will only play some one specific game. Lots of people around here are kinda picky a out what game they play. I'm about the opposite of that.

But maybe I can rephrase it a bit for you: What kind of campaign would you like to play that you haven't played?

I'm not being flip here: One with good people, that lasts more than six months. I'm the GM for my group. While I get to play in one-shots in game days, and I have played in some campaign larps, I don't get to play tabletop campaigns much these days. So, being a game I can play in far, far outstrips the system concern.
