While it is true that there are more than four articles in Dragon this month, not all of them are content articles (such as the editorial, Ampersand, Confessions, and Alumni). Of the seven that remain:
Four are the theme articles
One is a Class Compendium article taken from the canceled book
One is a Nerathi Legends article, which is composed of the background work done for the board game, and to a lesser degree the Essentials line. The previous article also contained no player content. Interesting as it was, it was probably more suited as a Dungeon article.
One is an Unearthed Arcana article which appears to be more DM focused this month (speeding up combat), though I admit it may contain some player useful content. However, Unearthed Arcana articles are prefaced with the warning that they haven't been through full design & development or playtesting, so it's hard to consider anything in them as fully valid player content.
The point in my original post wasn't to say that I feel we're being cheated or short changed (though it could get to that point if this continues long enough). It was more a statement of confusion. If this issue of Dragon has no content that was specifically created for it, and the issues since the start of the year have been suffering from a dearth of content, and fewer books are going to be released this year, then what is all the man power at WotC being used for?
