[Adventure] Dungeons and Them (DM:johnmeier1, judge:????)

"Oh thank heavens you're alright Max dearie!," Mab exclaims as the warlord comes to. "Thought we might have lost you to the depredations of those dastardly dopplegangers. Now, I don't mean to be rude dearie, or tell you your business, but let's not be so hasty next time, hm? Maybe give Auntie a bit of time to magic the enchanted mirrors off instead of breaking them? It might have taken me a bit, but I am a fey-touched enchantress you know. Though that certainly was one way to deal with it I suppose..."

"But, we'd best be careful going forward dearies. I'm sure we're bound to run into more of these traps and such. These are awfully cunning greebles we're dealing with, maybe even a bit paranoid. Not the happy-go-lucky pudding thieves I was expecting. Maybe it's because I broke their egg... But, what's done is done."
The old woman continues to ramble a bit to herself disconsolately as she tends to the injuries she's sustained.

OOC: Mab spends 2 surges with one Inspiring Word bonus for 28+8 HP.

@johnmeier1 - That should be milestone right?

Devinihm, wilden druid

Devinihm sits back as Max awakens, and seems especially bolstered by the man's return to consciousness. He breaks apart briefly into his swarm form, the insects buzzing and chittering, rearranging themselve, and when he once again regains his wilden shape, he appears fully recovered from the recent taxing battle.

OOC: 1 surge with Inspiring for Inspired healing (2d6+12=24), takes him back to full.

"You are competent allies," Jonathan states plainly as he sweeps some mirror shards with his foot. He shakes his head in disapproval at this unnatural trickery.

"Interesting," Dante says as his weapon slips back into the hidden pouch at the back of his clothing.

Virgil shuffles around the broken shards of the mirror, looking for something edible. He licks up and crunches on some mirror shards for a while as Dante looks on impassively. Whether they appeal to his devil-lizard culinary sensibilities or if he just likes the sounds they make crunching between his molars, Virgil happily eats half a broken mirror.

OOC: 1 inspiring word + surge = 2d6+15=18 hp healed. Leaves Dante at 44/57hp with 1 surge left, Virgil at 65/78hp with 1 surge left.

Okay mom the warlord says in a sarcastic tone. Can you give the same lecture to Draglin. He has a way with attacking traps as well. Speaking of which, I could have used his help when I was getting my ass kicked. Max looks at Draglin and laughs. Nevermind, looks like we all got our asses kicked. Max takes a deep breath, then sighs. Yes, Mab, you're right. I'll be more careful next time. No telling what's left in this place.

OOC: 3 surges: 16+7 for 23 and 16+6 for 22 and third for 16 to bring him to maximum hp. He now only has 2 surges left

I am sorry Maximus! The foul mirror magicians foul magics fouled up my senses! Draglin says apologetically.

OOC: One of my rules of character creation is ALWAYS have a ranged attack, even if it's terrible, just in case you get immobilized, dazed out of charge range, etc. As a fighter, you mark with ranged attacks too!

In our Dark Sun game, my blackguard has a melee attack of +9, 1d8+5 damage and a ranged attack of +3 to hit, 1d6 damage. I'd still rather have that potential 1d6 damage than nothing. You can use Heavy Thrown, so yours won't be too much worse than your normal attacks.
