Grakk's amulet shines bright as he is hit multiple times. As the barbarian is hit, his enemies feel pain as well. Grakk then tries to finish off dwaven fighter, which he does with a brutal strike, cutting off the fighter's right arm. Grakk roars a battle cry as the foe goes down.

Morvannon takes careful aim and sends a blast of mystic energy through the torso of the wounded mercenary, taking advantage of the distraction provided by Soldier. He then dashes across the room, pausing only to drop a curse on the enemy spellcaster.

Two arrows fly. One sails wide, but the other slices right through the sorcerer's face, penetrating the sinus cavities to emerge through the cap of the magician's skull.

The mercenary forces are cut down. Two of the slime humanoids are dealt with too. Their corpses loose the slimy cover, and appear more humanoid as the life escapes their bodies.
To stop the approaching genasi, the sorceror begins to cast a spell, as the leader unsheaths his sword and approaches him menacingly. "Vermitrax, Surplumium..." The chants of the sorceror are interrupted when an arrow rips his brain. The spell is disrrupted, creating a massive explosion on the platform.

The blast of arcane power breaks the structure, which collapses to the water. The leader of the mercenaries is thrown into the turbulent water, and Jarel Karn is barely able to hold his ground, as the platform sinks down. In spite of the explosion, the remaining slime creature jumps into the water. Among the chaos, the group sees the leader, being suck down by the green claw of the slime monstrosity.

As if awaken from a dream, the mercenary fighter left is shaken. He blinks dumbstruck, drops his sword, and tumbles towards the wall, hitting it and falling prone.
