Don't really have an opinion on 'Combat Superiority'... but I will say I'm not a fan of the term 'Deadly Strike'. Especially when it sits next to 'Parry'. Take off the deadly part, and just make the two uses of expertise dice 'Strike' and 'Parry'.

That is my naming convention whine of the day. ;)

I think "combat superiority" is fine for the class feature as a whole, but the dice need a snappier name. I think they're called "expertise dice" sometimes, which I don't like too much. "Maneuver dice" or "combat dice" would be better since at least they relate to other terminology used for the fighter, but "combat dice" sounds a bit too generic IMO.

Is "stunt dice" unworkable? Nice terse ring to it.

I agree. I mean, aren't all strikes trying to be deadly?

This is a pretty small issue, but nitpicking is what we do here, right? :)

Anyways, does anyone else feel this way? Other class features like "sneak attack" and "rage" are quick and to the point, not the eight syllable monstrosity that "combat superiority" is (nine syllables, if you say combat superiority dice). I guess you could abbreviate it to "CS", but my group rarely abbreviates stuff as it makes things a bit too gamey.

Anyways, just sayin'. They should rename it to something shorter.

How about "Battle Mastery" dice? Shorter and keeps the idea that the fighter is the master of combat and not "just a little better" than others.

Combat Superiority -> Combat Expertise (because "superiority" sounds quite cocky)

Deadly Strike -> Power Attack (because if it doesn't actually kill the target, then it's not very deadly)
