I'm curious as to what the agenda you're seeing is supposed to be.

Ha, how silly, odd class released in a peripheral product compared to an iconic class of D&D.

I never thought of Moses telling us what a class is, but I like it, would have helped with the 9-Inch Nails Warlock or whatever it's supposed to be.

But, nice try with the agenda...

Yeah odd class that first appeared in a peripheral product, then was very popular and loved, received further support on the following supplements and was placed in the first PHB of the following edition before other classics such as the bard, druid or monk and is still fondly loved by what it is. Not seeing any reaosn to turn it into something that has never been and only pleases people who hated it at the expense of people who loved it.

One does not simply ask Weather Report as to what "the agenda" is and get an answer. Not with ten thousand men could you do this. It is folly.

And butchering the warlock won't? Two wrongs don't make a right, besides the mistake 4e had wasn't including warlock, warlord, tiefling and dragonborn, was the lack of half-orcs, gnomes, bards, druids barbarians and sorcerers at launch. The hate at warlocks is misguided at best and totally uncalled for. They and sorcerers have come to mean D&D too, and while recent, their de facto removal -I.e. keeping them in name only- won't be any good
