Scales of War - Battle Maps

Exactly. After 3 years (did we really start in 2010!?!) we've filled our first easel pad with maps (50 pages) and I don't want to get rid of it for the sheer memories attached. There isn't a lot we can all do together and enjoy every week that doesn't cost $60 or more dollars each time and certainly not anything I can think of that builds on itself every time. Building a campaign depth and memories and shared experiences is one of my favorite things about D&D. Doing it with my family however has been awesome. Instead of boring them with old war stories, I can share them with them!

These are amazing!

Have you looked into Gaming Paper? The easel is a good option, but Gaming Paper may work better for your guys. If not, rock on. But I really hope you guys keep those maps around.

I'll second both the amazingness and the Gaming Paper suggestion. We use Gaming Paper at our table and, although our results are substantially less artistic than yours, it works very well.

My favorite use thus far has actually been building a "non-Euclidean" space by cutting apart a foot or so of one roll and making each navigable surface a separate mini-map. But it does a really good job at any map size.

Cheers!

The easel pads have 50 sheets that fit my table, I can flip through multiple maps at a session, and when I'm done they all stay together and store quickly under the couch. What are the advantages that gaming paper would have instead?
