OOC: I guess I got him after all, then. Sir F will teleport to F8, next to the caryatids.

I'd like to go first next round so as to get the Armor of Winter's Wrath off (it's an unfriendly burst). I'll try to run my turn in a timely manner this time...

GM: At the end of Zuri and Rain's turns they are adjacent to Kalbon who is once again bloodied and so each take 5 dmg from his aura. Sir Flib finishes Kalbon on his turn which extinguishes this effect before he is burnt.


Kalbon falls with a scream of frustration. "Soryth will rip your gizzards and swallow you alive, you fools! She ..." Black ichor pools around him as his fire extinguishes. " ... will ... raise me and ... I will spit ... on your ..." The demon dies in a spasm of pain, a look of pure evil frozen upon his face. Under the power of Wat's spell the warrior columns remain motionless but who knows how long this respite will last. Likely not very long ...

"Focus your attention on one at a time. If we can bring one down it will reduce their attacks by half."

Wat however causes a divine light to wash over the two of them. It was all he could do while he waited for the ringing in his ears to stop. But his concentration was no good and it seemed to have no effect.

Standard: Shining Symbol (1d20+6=10 Will, 1d20+6=10 Will, 1d8+5+2=9 radiant)

Wat is no longer dazed.

Sir Flibbertigibbet throws a cloud of pixie dust into the air that settles on the statues, forming long icicles that dangle ludicrously from their chins, noses, and other extremities. "And we will vanquish you, demon, a thousand times if it be necessary!" he declares, although Kalbon has already expired before he finishes his speech.

[sblock=OOC]OK, added it to Zuri removing her THP's, but I think Rain's immune to that amount of fire damage.

Flames from Kalbon's dying embers lash at Zuri and cause her to raise her hands to protect her face, but Rain merely ignores the heat, quickly moving away from the fallen demon towards the caryatids.

Placing herself between the two animated guards, Rain whirls her blade in an arcane dance that strikes both of the creatures hard; her blade leaves a glowing rune of both of her foes.

Zuri follows, moving around the fountain to attack the Caryatids nearest to Wat. Her dagger bites true and Zuri readies herself to look for openings in the statue's defences.

Move Action: Start in D9 and move directly to F8.

Standard Action: Rain attacks both Caryatid 1 and 2 with Sword of Sigils - Total to Hit = Caryatid 1 - 17 AC, Caryatid 2 - 17 AC so hits both at AC 15 for 9 damage each.
Also, both are marked.

Sword of Sigils (Encounter Standard Close burst 1 ✦ Arcane, Force, Weapon)
Target: Each enemy in burst.
Attack: +9 vs. AC.
Hit: 1d8+5 damage and the target is marked until the end of your next turn. Until the turn ends, if the target makes an attack that does not include you as a target, it takes 4 Force damage after the attack is resolved.
Aegis of Shielding: If a target marked by this power hits a creature within 10 squares of you with an attack that does not include you as a target, you can use an Immediate Interrupt to reduce the damage dealt by that attack to any single creature by 3.



Potential Interrupts: As a likely priority, she'll use the Sword of Sigils interrupt above.

If an enemy attacks an ally and criticals, then she might try:


Dimensional Vortex (Encounter, Immediate Interrupt, Ranged 10 Arcane, Implement, Teleportation)
Target: The triggering enemy.
Attack: +6 vs. Will
Trigger: An enemy hits an ally with a melee attack.
Hit: You teleport the target 5 squares. The target then makes its melee attack against a creature that you choose. If no creatures are within the range of the target, then the attack is expended.
Aegis of Shielding: If the target is marked by your Aegis of Shielding power, the target's melee attack deals 3 extra damage.

Guardian's Counter might be used, if it is appropriate and can cause a total miss.

Trigger: An ally within 2 squares of you is attacked and you are not included in the attack.
Effect: You and the ally shift 2 squares as a free action, swapping positions. You become the target of the triggering attack in place of the ally. After the attack is resolved, you can make a basic attack against the attacker.

All else failing, Rain will use Infernal Wrath if no allies are hit and she is.

Target: The triggering enemy in the burst
Trigger: An enemy within 10 squares of you hits you.
Effect: The target takes 1d6+4 fire damage.

GM: True, forgot Rain's fire resistance.

But this is the second time Zuri has taken damage from Kalbon's aura, so this time it takes 5 HPs from her real HPs.
