OOC: What's P1 and P2?

GM: I probably should have waited to place those things on the map. Your characters are not aware of anything in those corners. When you open the door, if that is what you choose to do, I will describe the situation in detail and reveal what the P's are.

OOC: OK, I've put Rain on the map in E15. If there are no objections, Rain will open the door with a Minor Action and then have the rest of her round after the description. Likely, she'll just move around the furniture to F12 and mark Kalbon with her Aegis.

OOC: My basic plan is to activate a stance, wait until after Rain marks the enemy, then charge in and smack Kaibon, triggering Lesser flash of distraction to daze him.

Rain pushes the door open and the group are able to witness a dark figure step out from the fountain into the hall, having only moments before plummeted from the inverted water surface above. The scent of brimstone precedes this bulky, orange skinned humanoid, who has massive arms, batlike wings, and a thorny hide. As the door creaks open, his burning eyes fall on you.

"You are too late, fools," he says, "but I welcome you. You're just in time to die."

Pixies armed with bows drop out of the water after him, falling only to be caught in fountain water and placed, flying, just above the floor. The pixies wear the glazed look of all the fey slaves of Kalbon and Soryth. Their eyes are drawn towards the open door where the group are about to leap forth into action. Their eyes seem to clear and in tiny voices they shout in unison: "No! We will not hurt these friends of the fey! Flee! Flee for your lives friends!" Terrified they streak from the hall and out into the garden, not looking back as Kalbon shouts infuriated at them, hurling death threats that fall upon deaf ears and buying the group the chance to act first.

GM: Let's say that opening the door does not count as an action in Rain's turn. Like a surprise round action.

Each other character can take a minor or move action for free to reposition themselves before taking their proper turn.

Pixies (P1 & P2) flee combat thanks to the mercy the group showed to other NPCs during the adventure.

Sabynha felt a bubble of anger rise up inside her at the arrogance of Kalbon. She strode into the room to confront him, standing side by side with Rain, waving her blade at the demon as she spoke.

"You! Companion, servant, or master of the wretched hag Soryth! You've had your chance to begone from this land; you've no doubt watched as we avoided your traps and killed your minions. Now we do the same to you! Aaaaaaaaaaaggggghhh!"

And with that, she flew into a fit of rage and threw herself at the creature, blade first, ending in a flourished spiral with a steely edge.

[sblock=actions]Surprise action: Move to G12
Minor Action: Focused Discipline (tactics; shift-1 on hit)
Move -> Minor Action: Song of Savagery (1 ally in my aura claim +4 to damage on next hit)
Standard Action: Charge to E10, Attack Kalbon 1d20+9+1=28, 1d6+7+1d8=10 Hit (I assume?), for 10 damage (boo).
Free Action: Lesser Flash of Distraction; Kalbon is Dazed until EONT.
Free Action: Focused Discipline tactics Shift-1 to G9[/sblock]

A steely edge now tipped in black demon blood. Not a strong blow, but one which must have stung, as the demon began to reel. Sabynha tumbled away before the lumbering brute could react. She regained her feet easily and stood there defiantly, still pointing her feygift blade at him.

Wat moves into the room and produces a streak of lighting from his staff. The lightning explodes behind Kalbon and a follow-up blast from his staff knocks Kalbon to the ground.

Standard: Lightning's Revelation (1d20+6+2=28, 2d6+5+1+4=18)
Critical Damage (force) (1d8=6)

"Don't worry Kalbon, we won't make you suffer like you made others suffer."

Wat takes the damage bonus from Sabynha.
Wat crits Kalbon for 22 lightning plus 6 force damage, and activates his Staff of Forceful Rebuking to knock Kalbon prone.
Kalbon takes a -4 penalty to all defenses until the end of Wat's next turn.
