Jariah heard the crash and took in the appearance of the Halfling. She asked, “You are the Warden, Walthus Proudstump, right?”

Jakira interjected, “I don’t see a stump. Why is-”

Jariah shushed the feline and continued, “We came to see you, but… Are you okay?”

She had a concerned look on her face. Given they had seen something lurking around earlier, she though that perhaps the Halfling had been barricaded up in his house from a threat outside.

Jariah looked around and instructed Jakira to do the same as the eidolon stood beside her, have expecting trouble to spring out of the swamp.

Wireth Norin, half-orc falconer

Wireth fell to the back of the group as they neared the warden's home. Much as he wanted to assure the others, he wasn't sure what might be stalking about half-eating large reptiles. He positioned himself, then, against something coming from behind, glancing up to Nairo on occasion to make sure the bird hadn't spotted anything.

He let the others do the talking with the halfling, frazzled as he was by the sights they'd seen on the way here.

"Do you require medical treatment?" she asked the halfling.

"Well, I am a bit out of sorts. Yes, medical treatment might be nice."

"You know, I think the tide covers this WHOLE BIT when it comes in," the lion-haired blacksmith gestured to the muddy-grassy expense before starting to idly explore. "Hey, salt crystals!" he excitedly called out a few heartbeats later, pointing to some tall green grass.

Fastus is intrigued by the salt crystals.

"Did you fall off boxes or something? What was that crashing noise?"

"Noise? Boxes? Uh, er, yes! Boxes or something."

She asked, “You are the Warden, Walthus Proudstump, right?”

"Yes! That I am. The Warden. Walthus Proudstump!"

Jariah shushed the feline and continued, “We came to see you, but… Are you okay?”

"You know I do not think that I am OK."

"You sound kinda dazed," Sachiko said sympathetically. She made a shooing gesture into the cabin. "Why don't you go sit down and let Elsbeth take a look at you? She knows her stuff."

She steps closer, expecting to be let in, though left room for Elsbeth to go in ahead of her.

Elsbeth moved closer to the Warden. She wasn't a healer but she had seen enough scrapes and cuts on the children that she could provide basic first aid.

If Survival can be used = 1d20+5=24 She will be in C9 after she moves closer to the Warden.

"Are you all alone out here or do you have family living with you?"

Fastus paused from his growing handful of marsh grass to look back over his shoulder: "Is he alright?" he asked, not sounding that concerned: the guy was standing around and answering doors, right?

(He already had a long blade of grass poking out the corner of his mouth, looking for all the world like a proud (armed and armored) farmer in his field... Nicely salty though!)

OOC: Fastus is probably somewhere around H16, depending where the tidal section is exactly (feel free to move him around, TS). And he's somehow lost his beard, it seems. Can he pinpoint what's intriguing about the salt crystals, if anything?

Jakira remained where she was since she was not a healer. She had noticed the Warden evaded telling them what happened… or perhaps he was incapable of thinking clearly, she was not sure.

Jakira asked the halfling, “What about the snakes? Do they still want the mice?” The eidolon’s stomach was growling as he answered Elsbeth’s question with one of his own, “Ya think snakes be considerrred family forrr a herrrmit?”

Jariah ignored her companion’s questions and asked, “What happened to you, Walthus? Is there something inside that attacked you? Or is this all an accident and you fell down?”

“I think you sit down here outside, Walthus. Sachiko, maybe you can take a look inside,” she suggested.
