D&D 5E Too much bickering about 5e, let's get down to what matters.

Think of this poll like voting. We don't know who is going to be the better president, but we still vote based on what they have told us and who we THINK will be the best president. We can't possibly know until it's out, so from what you know, do you think this edition will be a step forward or a step backwards from the previous editions.

Ah see, perfect post to illustrate my point. In a vacuum chocolate or vanilla, I would maybe agree in theory one is not better than the other. But if you give the option of chocolate or vanilla, im going to pick vanilla every time. Individual people DO actually have a favorite, some people like both just fine and don't care, but the majority will have a definite answer of which one they like the best.

Well, I'm pretty confident that it'll be better than an existing edition. Up to snuff compared with the rest? Doesn't look like it.

Based on what I have seen and playtested, this will be my favorite. I don't think it will be perfect, but I think that it is closer to it than any other edition. I am sure we will house-rule several things, we have with every edition. But I believe this will require the fewest.

I'd really the poll to ahve a rather neutral answer such as "Neither" for people who are in the fence or just like all editions. Anyway, I am pretty sure I'm going to like this edition as much as AD&D 2e (my favorite edition so far), or perhaps even more.
