If by tear you mean 2014 then yes, but the next AP will be coming in March 2015. WotC hasn't announced this yet (I don't think) but their partner has. That AP also has an Adventurer's Guide to accompany it.

Are they only doing adventure paths now? Will stand alone modules be 3rd party only? Have they ever said what is going to happen to Dungeon?

The only adventures we know will be released are big AP-like things.

For the most part my group is more of a sandbox type instead of one major overarching plot. Hopefully they have a system of robust 3rd party support, or get Dungeon going again. I'm going to run the Tyranny of Dragons to get our feet wet in 5e but really I'd rather do smaller modules that can be connected or not connected. I will make a lot of stuff up myself, or convert older stuff, but I'd like to be able to drop in a publish adventure when I lack time to do more. The multimedia stuff isn't anything I'm interested in.

This is exactly their strategy, but yes, it doesn't seem like quite enough. A Fiend Folio, Unearthed Arcana, Deities and Demigods, free standing adventures, don't fit this model, but it might be nice to see them.

"Stated model" is going a bit far. It's what Princes of the Apocalypse is, sure, but that doesn't mean there won't be yearly hardback books or magazines or other standalone adventures or anything. There's not enough data to extrapolate any kind of ongoing model yet.

They plan to have some OGL like structure but though a market place of their own.

think of it as a iTunes for D&D, they get a small cut, all products are a mininum of 0.99 but you can charge what you want.... they get a cut.

of course they would have final say on which products they can accept and sell, which gives them the "D&D stamp of aproval"

yes this is all conjecture, but it's what I have been able to peace together from diffrent conversations at conventions and at the bar

I get the impression from what I've read that they basically plan to maybe do more monster manuals but that they expect DMs to convert stuff over from 3.5 and pathfinder, etc. That's why they are putting up their formulas etc online so that people like me can convert them. If you think about it, they don't need to reinvent the wheel here guys, just convert. That's the new mantra, "Convert, convert, convert..."

I like this idea so that I don't have to go out and feel like I need to buy all new stuff, just the core books. My only problem is going to be converting all the monsters over and the spells and some magic items.

Also, as far as 4E stuff goes (and this includes the Forgotten Realms setting), They've seem to completely ditched it and are telling people to "move on" and ignore it all, which is fine by me. They seem to have incorporated everything that was interesting and worked in 4E anyway.

Yeah, the iTunes model has been bandied about a bit over the last couple of years. It doesn't tie in well with their current relationship with DTRPG, though.
