D&D 5E Light release schedule: More harm than good?

As my attention slowly turns elsewhere, what I find disappointing is that, if WotC ends up releasing something that might interest me, I may not even be aware of it.

Now there's a question. If they do a couple of big splash releases per year, will you miss the release?

Compared to say, book a month releases?

How many 2e releases passed you by, buried in the noise? I know many slipped past me. 4e was the same. I couldn't tell you more than two or three 4e books. Didn't care. Even 3e, when I was still buying more books, blew past me.

To date, the official support for 5e from WotC has been significantly less than the support for 3e, considering only the first month's content in Dragon and Dungeon magazine, and not considering online support, since I don't have any kind of record for that.

I found the 3e launch list. Here's where we were through 2 months after the release of the 3 core rulebooks…

Character Sheets
Dungeons & Dragons Adventure Game
Player's Handbook
Dungeon Master Screen
Dungeon Master's Guide
*Gazetteer
*Pool of Radiance: Attack on Myth Drannor
*Sunless Citadel
*Into the Dragon's Lair
Monster Manual
*Forge of Fury
*Living Greyhawk Gazetteer
*Diablo II: Diablerie
*Hero Builder's Guidebook

In comparison, here's 5th edition…

Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set
Player's Handbook
Hoard of the Dragon Queen
Monster Manual
The Rise of Tiamat
Dungeon Master's Guide
Deluxe DM Screen

I've starred the ones that are NOT directly in common.

I know what you want me to say, but I'm a journalist, and sorting out information is something I'm good at. But I can't focus on everything at the same time, and if I lose interest in something like D&D, I'm not very likely to hear about new releases.

Do you plan to stop reading en world/take it out of your RSS aggregator?

I only started reading the forums after I started following the site for news items.

Do you mean the ones that AREN'T directly in common?

You're missing a few hundred pages of Dragon and Dungeon magazine, too. That's what really puts it over the top for me.

Out of curiosity why aren't the spell cards listed for 5th edition?
