How it works in terms of rules a character "pass a Weapon" to another character ?

A character can move the weapon with his free interaction object and the other one had with his "reaction"?

If so, can for example have a single longbow, 2 sides characters and every turn a get through the longbow to the other in the following sequency ... Char1 attacks, pass with free action, char2 take the longbow with yourreaction .... .... char2 attacks, pass the longbow with free action, char1 take de longbow with your reaction ??

Where does that chain end? Conceivable you could have a line of 20 19th level fighters each taking 4 shots with a +3 bow and passing it down the firing line for 80 shots in 6 seconds. I suppose I'd allow a weapon to be passed with a 'free' interaction and a reaction from the first person receiving it per turn, but that's it.

Hmm, yes, the chain shouldn't work in this sense, by Rules as Come On, Seriously?

I'd probably rule that the bow could only be attacked with by one person, and that using your reaction to receive the bow effectively takes up your "interact with that object" for the turn. So you can't bucket-line an object in one round using your free "interact with an object."

Remember, a combat round is, ultimately, happening simultaneously. It's not five 6-second turns end to end, it's five six-second turns happening at once, where the character with the higher initiative just has the outcome of their action resolve first. In some respects, the bow is beholden to the same action economy as a character in combat. It can't be in 5 places at once.

The rules are specifically written not to address these sorts of corner cases. It's the DM's job to say, "seriously?" I guess, under very specific circumstances, I might allow it under Rules as Cool.

Something I definitely would allow, though:

The fighter is disarmed by an opponent, and has no other weapon available. The rogue standing nearby is wielding two short swords. On the rogue's turn, he throws one of his short swords (already in his hand) to the fighter, and then attacks with his remaining short sword. The fighter uses her reaction to catch the short sword, and then attacks normally with the short sword on her turn.

If the fighter and the rogue were not adjacent, I'd probably require some sort of check to make the pass.

If the rogue is a thief, I'd probably allow him to use "fast hands" to pass a weapon as a bonus action, and then draw another weapon as his "free object interaction."

That seems completely reasonable and true to the spirit of the game.

Does it only apply to rogues of changeable gender?
Grammar pedant attack!
Down, boy. Bad grammar pedant.

Sorry, I just got this strange little grin and chuckle at the thought of peasants streaking across the sky and impacting into a tarrasque. :) Evil ruler of the city state part of me kicking in I guess.

DM's adventure hook: The tarrasque is attacking. you are hopelessly outmatched. As you prepare for the tarrasque hitting the city walls, an object streaks over your shoulder and impacts the tarrasque. It dissolves in a red splotch, but it slowed the tarrasque down. As you look over your shoulder, you realize in horror that the ammunition for the launcher is people. What do you do?
