D&D 5E [OOC] A Light Hearted Princes of Elemental Evil Hack and Slash

Wagon vendors hawk their wears as you walk down the main strip. As this town has two different wagon vendors, they seem quite competitive in Wagons and Wagon accessories.

Is this a subtle suggestion that we should buy a wagon? It could be a good idea if we need to bring back an unwilling snowflake...

In any case, perhaps we should get riding horses with our 200gp to be faster on the road. Thaliss will Gladly offer Meghan to ride with him ;-)

While we don't know where the snowflake is, I'd be surprised if she didn't end up in the Spire. Since they seem like they are somewhat open to visitors, at least young nobles, perhaps we could put together some kind of deception, which might require a cart or, at the least, horses.

In my mind, Red Larch is a bit like the "town" just across the river from St. Louis in Illinois where there's just this giant cluster of dealerships (because people in Missouri can avoid paying some sales tax when buying out of state). There are only a few reasons Red Larch exists. Wagons break down on the road or need new parts. There is one exotic boutique shop. There's one decent tannery. There are two minor slaughterhouses. And once a tenday they have a farmers market. It's literally the rest area on the Triboar highway.

One possible deception gambit comes to mind: Thaliss, a young noble in search of fame and riches, accompanies by his three loyal retainers, approach the spire. I can't remember if one of the flying knights got away or not... If so, we may be recognized.

Thaliss will buy a horse if the others do, otherwise, there is no point (even if he'd enjoy sitting higher than the other ;-)

I don't actually have a horse, yet. I edited immediately, so I'm not sure why it still showed up that way several hours later when Steve posted. If anyone is interested in RPing out the horse buying, I'm fine with it. Otherwise, we can advance to being on the road.
