D&D 5E SURVIVOR RETURNS: Lich Wars - Vecna Wins!

"ON THE COVER
Tyler Jacobson illustrates Acererak as he raises an army of undead and prepares to unleash it on an unsuspecting world."
That's great and all. I'm a big fan of continuity gags, which are all over the place in 5E.

That doesn't make him popular or well-known, though. He's basically an in-joke for anyone who might recognize him. And, like any other in-joke, it's entirely meaningless to anyone who doesn't.

Clearly, we must have a contest to see whether Acererak or Vecna is more worthy of survival! We...

...oh. We are. :)

Acererak - 11 I like Acererak and Vecna both; but Vecna is mostly just famous for losing, whereas Acererak is famous for winning. Today I'm voting for the winner.
Azalin - 11 A lich who can't research new spells is just a glorified zombie. Azalin is a dead end.
Szass Tam - 9 Of the Red Wizards, he is the coolest. Reminds me of Necrophilius from Jason Cosmo.
Vecna - 13 See above.
Vlaakith CLVII - 13 - Don't know much about her but the concept is pretty cool. And I love githyanki.

Good grief, where does the time go?

Acererak - 11
Azalin - 7 Shmazalin
Szass Tam - 9
Vecna - 14 Deadly, even in pieces!
Vlaakith CLVII - 14

But he's still a second fiddle that WotC has overblown.

<fierce embrace> "I know it was you, Fredo! You broke my heart. You broke my heart!" </fierce embrace>

Still learning,

Robert

Acererak vs. Vecna is an interesting question. But before we go there, lets clear out the also-rans.
