You can't just say that everything after 2e isn't D&D, because a different company created it. Vecna became a god in D&D.

I didn't say anything about "D&D", which is a product brand currently owned by Wizards of the Coast. I said something about Vecna, a character in a story. Or rather, you said something about Vecna, but you're talking about a different Vecna than I was. You're talking about WotC's Vecna, whom I'm not interested in.

It's the difference between George Lucas's Anakin Skywalker and the Disney Star Wars movies.

Either everything counts, or nothing counts. Personally, a strong part of my sentiment for Vecna (and why I vote for him) has to do with a reference made in a certain Harry Potter fan-fiction. That counts as part of his legacy, as much as anything else.

Either everything counts, or nothing counts. Personally, a strong part of my sentiment for Vecna (and why I vote for him) has to do with a reference made in a certain Harry Potter fan-fiction. That counts as part of his legacy, as much as anything else.

It was a reference to Vecna's so called "Divinity" that happened in an adventure. A day or so ago, you mocked Acerearak, as "adventures don't count," so I discount Vecna's so called divinity for the same reason. You can't say one about Acererak and another about Vecna without being a hypocrite
