If forums still exist in 20 years.
Seems all too likely they'll've gone the way of BBSs, mailing lists, and UseNet, by then....

...but it's great to seem more evidence of younger players being drawn in, rather by the come-back of D&D or the huge popularity of boardgames the last few years, or whatever might be behind it.

What something appears to be to you isn't data, I'm afraid. That link, however, is data. We have a LOT of youngsters, and far more than we used to. :)

I'm not just going on my perception but user surveys conducted on /dnd as well as general reposts on Reddit that place 65+% of its users at 29yo and younger. While 70% of EnWorld visits are by people 25+.

It's tricky as most reports on Reddit's demographics - like yours- start at 18. It's unlikely that there are no <18yo users.

Fact of the matter is traditional forums are the best social media the 1990s had to offer and just isn't where the kids are. I love them and can't stay away from forums, but they're not where kids at my school go when online.

Both things can be simultaneously true. You can have 65% of your users at younger than 29 while having 70% at 25+.

But you're missing the point. The point is that the data shows that EN World's youngster population is massively on the rise. It has doubled in the last few years. That's what the Analytics data shows.

And that, largely, is because tabletop gaming is coming into "fashion" again as large companies like WotC perform outreach which brings them in. It's a wonderful thing.
