A discussion has a topic. It doesn't need to have "sides". That's what an argument is. It's true that a discussion CAN cover the subject of opposition, but it really doesn't have to.

What I am saying is that in this medium... someone is free to voice the side of opposition to a view if they want to. Hypothetically we could all potentially agree with a single view and you're right there would be no opposition... but how likely is that to happen? We (the general we here) differ in our views, and this is an open (as long as you follow the rules) forum for discussing them as they pertain to D&D...
