A mechanics question. Shooting/spell casting into melee combat. If I attempt to shoot a creature that is in melee combat with a party member, is there an adjustment to the difficulty role (e.g., +2 AC to the creature?). Also, I assume that a 1 (fumble means that I hit the party member). Will be checking IC to see who wants me to shoot their creatures. I get that being in melee combat (creature with 5') is a disadvantage to ranged combat - and I assume non-melee spell casting. However, Ara has a fix for that - Green Flaming Blade

There is an argument for it being partial cover, but that really depends on the angle, so I ignore that possibility. According to me and the rules, 1's are just an automatic miss, no critical fumbles.

Thank you for the critical miss vs. critical fumble. My Dwarf in my IRL game did 8 points of damage to the cleric in our last adventure. People are starting to get worried about fighting next to the great sword wielding Barbarian with GWM.

Thanks for the catch on gender [MENTION=6700838]CS[/MENTION]s. It was not on the game sheet and so, I did not fill it in . I have updated the mini-states block and the character sheet to reflect Ara's gender. Also provided a link to the character sheet (PDF) in my google drive as it is simpler than continuing to upload to ENWorld. If there is a better alternative. Please let me know. I need to get into the habit of including the Mini Stats in my posting.
