D&D 5E So long and thanks for all the fish!

I want to help improve my game or talk about my campaign, I go elsewhere.

How many threads here are actually about playing Dungeons & Dragons? How many threads here are about actual honest to goodness games or characters or advice? When a game is mentioned, it's usually in the context of "this rules question came up, how do I answer it?" Or people play and then create a micro blog post to start a discussion.

There's far less talk of campaign plots, cool NPCs, neat puzzles, inventive traps, and the like. And when those discussions do happen, they usually get derailed into a debate.

I concur.

There's a LOT of great stuff on Reddit. With so many communities, there's some amazing and decent ones. And some horrible ones. Reddit is a generally great place with some good users. And as its reputation has grown, the good places have generally been uplifted.

Thanks for the recommendations. I browsed a bit; seems useful.

This place is turning into a gnome man's land...

At any given time, you'll find on the front page AT LEAST one thread about how the fighter is lacking and how there is no warlord. Yep, that seems to be the gist around here lol

Nightwind is one of my all time favorite comic characters, who is, by the way, a ninja ;).

Although, a version who was a crime fighter with irritable bowel syndrome- a la Legion of Substitute Heroes*- might be fun to play. You might even say, it would be a gas...

* perhaps even a Bismollian!?

Well, he started by telling me that he was a Paladin. Because of course he did. Five hours later, when he was Paladin-splaining, again, just how amazing his smites were, and how he saved the entire party a third time when they were all first level ... I just kind of snapped.

And no jury will ever convict me.
Nicely done! In public, he'll never "Lay on Hands" himself- too embarrassing.
