D&D 5E How often have you played D&D 5e over the past year?

DM once a week but never actually played the game from the other side.

I play in two 5e games a week -- one on Thursday nights, and one on Saturday afternoons. We've missed very surprisingly few sessions, and usually when it happens, another DM subs in for our regular one; the only time we cancel-cancel is when several players aren't able to make it.

Playing online definitely makes it easier for us to play weekly, though players local to one another often show up to game online at the same place. We're hoping next year to have most of the Thursday game group play together in Colorado (we have three players in Colorado, me and the DM live in Seattle, and one other player is on the East Coast). Fingers crossed! I really can't wait to meet the other players in-person.

I also play in an in-person 2e game on Fridays, though it's way more irregular with how often we meet up.

My group plays once every two weeks. We decided to alternate weeks so that we weren't eating up part of every weekend and could spend time with our families/significant others. Leaves time for family stuff but we still have a regular game schedule. Real life can sometimes throw off the schedule a little bit here and there. It's no big deal really. It's also really nice in that our families work with us and try to schedule stuff for non game days. My wife in particular is really awesome with that. We've been friends for a long time and regular play lets us keep in touch without drifting apart. So we make a schedule that's easy on everyone and leaves plenty of time for both friends and family.

I've been playing once a week for the past six months. I'm 59 and hadn't played since college. I started playing because my then 13 year old son (now 14) wanted to get involved involved. I forgot how much fun it is. Now I'm as into it as he is.

I voted about once per two weeks, but that's just because of a long drawn out move that shut down our gaming for a while. Now we're back to about 1/week.

Right now it looks like roughly 50% of people play once a week or more, and 50% less than once a week. Of those who play less than once a week, about half of those it's every other week.
