Because I am not interested in what they seem to have be working on since MToF...

In case it wasn't clear, I didn't mean I'm done with playing 5e, which is my favourite edition ever and for my tastes practically perfect (if you don't count my 2-3 small pet peeves which are manageable anyway). I just meant I might be done with buying books for this edition, at least until they come up with something more interesting to me.

True names, huh?

The Onomancer is a master of his own domain?

He can shoot his own wand?

He prefers to adventure by himself?

You know, I was reading about the Onomancer. I wasn't that interested. Then I got a little more interested. A bit excited. More excited. Somewhat ashamed. Confused. Very excited. Super excited.

But now? A little sleepy and not too interested.
I believe you are describing the Onanmancer. ;)

You shouldn't even add in the 'might' conditional in your sentence. If a book doesn't interest you, of course you shouldn't buy it. And no one should be shocked, upset, or question you as to why you don't. Not buying an RPG book is not a threat nor an indictment on the state of the game or the people making it. And no one should act like you're slapping WotC in the face if you don't. That's just silly.

If you don't want something, you don't buy it. We do that every single day over millions of things. I don't want to eat Almond Joys and thus I don't buy Almond Joys. And this should not bother anybody whatsoever... even the people who love Almond Joys.

I meant, care to unpack what it is you find dissatisfactory with these options...?
