I think everyone has forgotten the huge debate threads we had in the past about goodberry. Those were not good times.

Our debate threads were meaningless to WOTC. They made a ruling. They even included the ruling in their FAQ. I doubt they were even aware of threads here on the topic. The clear answer was that the Discipline or Life does in fact work on each Goodberry. That's the end of that debate, if you follow their rulings. Their ruling was not a compromise between some competing factions - they don't care about our factions here and are likely completely unaware of them.

And the logic of that ruling would also mean the Healer feat works once each short rest per person. Which is compatible with the way it's written as well. And which conveniently also solves the issue you claim is a problem with the feat to begin with. Weird that you wouldn't be willing to consider that interpretation of RAW which also comports with your issues with the feat.

Remember how wands if clw were considered bad?

Healer feat I am a wand of clw except more hp and cheaper.

Except I think it does only work once per short rest per person. I think that's both the intent and rules as written, now that I look at it again. Has WOTC said anything different?

No that's how it works.

It's not exact but it's essentially a feat of clw.

It's 3 cure spells per person assuming the 2 short rest and it scales.

If it's only once per short rest per person, then what are you complaining about? It's gone from good to...kinda weak.

See previous post. Look at how many spell slots PCs get or hit dice even.

It dumps all over them and makes pacing pointless and ruins the 6 to 8 encounter guidelines.

It's one of the worst offenders out of all the feats at least the others take a while to be abused.

It's a really big I win button especially at level 1 and doesn't really go away still useful level 10-14.

How many people can the user heal? Only benefiting once per short rest is the restriction and it's still a decent ability. The other limitation is supplies. That can get out of hand.

It needs a restriction on use aside from the healer kit supplies.

The Healer feat costs an action. That limitation makes spam impossible. A fight only lasts say four rounds. If the Healer feat does nothing else except heal, that is less effective because offense to eliminate an attacker is worth more than defense to withstand an attacker. And if they arent in combat, then they are resting anyway.

The Healer feat seems like a modest feat.

It's not modest.

Compare it to the other healing available.

Take it at level 1 you have a single hit dice and the cleric has two spells. Healer feat is roughly a cure spell that scales.

4 PCs 12 uses
5pcs 15 uses
6 PCs 18 uses

Assuming the two shshortirt rest thing. Healing kits are cheap enough.

It's the most borked feat a varient human can pick.
