If this game was more simulationist, it would impossible for evil characters or even neutral to have high wisdom.

It occurred to me that ideally good clerics should use wisdom, neutral clerics should use intelligence, and evil clerics charisma as primary stats.

Simulationist of what? You can't just be "simulationist" in a vacuum. There's fantasy where that's true, but there's also fantasy where that's nonsense, and the idea that Wisdom and Good-ness are connected in D&D is abjectly false, disproven by forty+ years of examples. Wisdom in D&D isn't kindness or decency or anything of the sort.

Simulationist as in if D&D Wisdom was like real Wisdom instead of really just awareness the stat.

As if your constitution doesn't also fade with age?
That was in response to them saying constitution fades but for some reason wisdom doesn't. It's likely that any score is going to fade with age as the body becomes frailer and the mind goes.

Anyone who choose anything other then Wisdom, needs more Wisdom. A Con, Dexterity and strength increase will dissolve in the face of time and age, intelligence without wisdom usually ends up futilite as one doesn't know how best to apply ir, Charisma without wisdom leads to bad leadership and more problems eventually for everyone.

Every single philosopher A-side from the most extreme hedonists would choose wisdom. Improving your wisdom doesn't just help yourself, it helps everyone around you.

Become wise enough to know to stick with the health plan...

I would go with Constitution. My other stats, with the exception of Charisma are good enough for me to be happy with them. An 18 Con would get me into shape, though, and increase my lifespan. That's worth more to me than more Charisma.

I’m genuinely surprised by the number of posters who think of Wisdom as a dump stat. Also, here’s an eyeball roll for all of the posters who believe their Int and/or Wis is already 18 (or high enough):

Dexterity is the uberstat of 5e for a reason. My mental stats are fine, and I don’t actually believe in natural intellect beyond some issues of brain development (the rest is training. Period.), so bumping them seems a waste of time.

But Dexterity would require slimming down, less joint issues, the ability to move like I want to be able to move, and enjoy moving when my body doesn’t betray me, which would I turn lead to reasonably increased health and strength, as well as better mental health.

An 18 is only 1-in-216 on 3d6. An IQ of 160 is 1-in-31,560.

Some of us are obviously full of... themselves when they claim an 18 INT. Others are simply being modest.

As for "high enough"... unless you're actually a Wizard, the correlation between Intelligence and success starts hitting diminishing returns in (my estimate) the 14-15 range. If you're already rocking a 15 or better, INT is probably the least useful score to bump to 18 except STR. Literally any of the other four are practically guaranteed to be better options.

Have to go with Charisma--the real life superpower.

This is causing me to think about how one really can't increase constitution without ancillary increases to physical strength (and vice versa--minus, uh, chemical enhancements). But physical strength winds up being really important for health.
