D&D 5E Eberron versus Multiverse

I laugh at the concept that gods are unprovable in Eberron because here on earth I listen to people everyday telling me how there is proof that god and/or gods exist, and these people really believe it. I think the vast majority of people in Eberron would overwhelming believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that the gods exist. Sure there may be a few snobby sages, academics, and professors saying the gods don’t exist. But they would probaly be taken as seriously as they would be taken in the Middle Ages, Renaissance, or even 19th century. Which was not very serious by the vast majority of the population. They should probaly fear for their lives.

And what I love about all these reasons that Eberron does not fit into planescape is exactly why it does fit into the planescape cosmology. And that is they are clueless. Lol. The exact thing a person from the prime would believe. A bunch of clueless berks that don’t get it.

Greyhawk deities are more distant than faerunian deities. And that makes sense they don’t need worshippers to have their god power. I doubt there is much difference to the average realms person than the average Eberron person on the existence of the gods. And that is because I don’t think helm goes around knocking on people door asking if they need help with home security. And last I checked mystara didn’t check in on labs to see how research is going. Waukeen does not do most people’s taxes. But I am sure she gets lots of prayers on tax day.

Nope, I don't see how it is undermined.

Neither do I. I'll take the risk of doing a real-world analogy, which can be touchy when speaking of religion, but being an atheist, I think there is no god. When I say that, I imply "in our universe". If, when the bing bang started, another bubble universe was created at the same time, with which we cannot interact (and which can't interact with our universe), and a godlike being took charge of "his" universe, my real-life worldview wouldn't be invalidated, because its existence would be improvable and be functionnaly meaningless in our reality.

For an Eberron denizen, FR worlds and the rest of the multiverse is as unknowable as other bubble universes are to our universe. And while most people in Breland would be convinced of the existence of Aureon and pray to Dol Dorn before a battle, a few atheist could postulate that these gods don't exist based on lack of scientific evidence. They wouldn't have an opinion whether there are parallel universes (such as the one close off by the ring of Syberis) exists, if they have a population and if there are gods there (because they have no way to prove it).

Besides, I am not sure FR gods would be considered gods by said Eberron denizen : if these gods found there way to Eberron (which is canonically impossible), they would be powerless cripples, not something anyone would liken to a god. Meeting Pelor or Lathander or Corellon in a bar in Sharn wouldn't even prove the existence of the gods from an Eberonnian point of view.

Awww. Cmon. It’s easy to move between bubble universes. You just need to change your string frequency to match the frequency of the other bubble universe and boom you are there. 😉

That's... a leap. It is impossible in canon. So, we have no basis for saying what they'd be like if they did get there. This is akin to asking what the experience of traveling faster than light is like - it is a question that cannot be answered.

I've done it before, it's a bit of a jelly-legged thing, traveling FTL, but Hyperspace works well enough.

Even if this is true, responding in kind makes you just as bad. Be respectful, please.

This is why planescape is garbage drivel seemingly written for the enjoyment of tryhards who can’t feel good about themselves without taking a dump on someone else.

Why is they always want to go faster than light. They should be bending space and not moving at all. Let the space do the work. It’s bendable and flexible. Alternatively we may just need to raise the speed of light. Get their fast, avoid the jelly, and problem solved.
