Comics yes, series yes - but I'm not convinced the earth 1 and 2 will be brought in for this movie.
It is amazing you never gave this reply for others asking about the return of Chris Pine.

I don't feel the need to reply to everything, so apply my answer as you think necessary.

I don't really care how they put Trevor back into play. It's just a nod to the 70s WW show when season wise it jumped from WWII to present day 70s with Wagner playing almost the exact same character.
So if he's back as a descendant, time travel, wish, a ghost/hallucination, robot, alien, or something else, it's all good. I get what they're doing.

As for the Multiverse? It doesn't matter if they are/aren't brought into the movies because this years Arrowverse crossover tells you that all the shows & movies over the years ARE in the DC Multiverse.
Nor does it matter if the stories are set before or after the anti-matter wave destroys everything.
