It seems Psion is winning so far.

As much of a 4E-apologist as I am, I must say that the Psion deserves the throne.
I have to agree.
Psionics does have a much longer history with the game. Often it's been as controversial a history, but there's just no excuse for not putting it in print by now, even if it needs a whole book of its own to do it justice. The excuse for not putting it in the PH - that its sole PH1 appearance was not a class- was pretty thin.

Of course, that's just a matter of priority, and both should have been higher-priority the a fifth arcane class.

The Warlord's main abilities have already been so spread-out and cannibalized
Really, only one of the 6 or 8 warlord builds, the Inspiring Warlord, got that rather odd treatment.

If you want to play a Warlord in 5E, you can play a Paladin multiclassed into battlemaster, or, even, just a paladin.
If you want to play a Psion you could just play a GOO Warlock, they even get telepathy.

Neither is a valid point in 5e, which was designed conspicuously concept-first, with no clear line between fluff & crunch re-skinning like that is a fraught exercise requiring buy-in and effort from both player and DM.

Fair points all. My core argument is that we should get new classes more often, especially the Psion.

I really wish they would just make Psionics and Magic the same thing. A wizard is what medieval people called Psionics and work it around that. But I see nothing wrong with making a class for those that want it. Just not in my game.

I can't tell if this is supposed to be a joke. If not, then, no!

It's in a quantum flux of joking and not joking.

There really is no need to rush anything out, and years long development is fine. They've been working on Psionics for 4.5 years now, and there is nothing wrong with taking a bit more time on it.

4.5 years is not really a "bit of time". Regardless, if a Psion is released soon, I shall be appeaseth.
