Heh, I was thinking of a possible dwarven temple (hence the double-headed axe). I also took inspiration from watching an episode of the 'Ancient World according to Terry Jones' where he talked about buildings in the ancient world often had rooms leading to other rooms without a central corridor. I decided to explore that idea

Besides, my spaceship maps look more like this... click to enlarge. ;)

Useful for SWSE if I ever get to play it again.

I really like the Hyperion design - but I can't figure out what's going on in area 9, the steward cabin. The chair seems to be pointed at the wall (and do you have to climb over it to get into it?), and what do the line of circles there on the right represent?

I'm going from memory, since that map is from 2009, but I believe the chair in the steward cabin moves back to allow one to sit in it. Looking at it now, I would probably put the chair so it faces the other way. ;) I envisioned those circles to the right as being some sort of liquid dispensers (water, alcohol, some exotic refreshments).

Tim

While this isn't a freebie (and it isn't Friday), I figured I would share.

I've created an Old School Blue composite map (consisting of 4 individual maps) that I'm selling at DriveThruRPG (for $5 US). It consists of a PDF that has multiple layers allowing the options for numbered/non-numbered areas, secret doors on/off, and grid/no grid. A zip file of all relevant images is also included.
