The Kickstarter for the new Pathfinder video game is now live and rocketing towards funding (it made $100K in the first hour or so). It describes itself as "A new isometric single-player RPG set in the Pathfinder universe – an indirect sequel to Pathfinder: Kingmaker."

It's based on Pathfinder 1st Edition, with an added "strategic layer" of gameplay allowing you to lead armies. For $28 you get a digital copy of the game. Like its predecessor, Kingmaker, this is made by the Russian studio Owlcat Games. The previous Kickstarter made nearly a million dollars.

In this game, you also choose one of six mythic paths (angel, lich, trickster, aeon, demon, or azata), one of ten races, and one of 21 classes (each with five archetypes).

Its a night for Romance because Social Goal Queen Galfrey was achieved a few days ago, and now the +2 Romances stretch goal is achieved. With the mention previous 4 romances, that makes seven options, most likely 3 male and 4 female. Increased animations (+2 or x2 attack animations or something like that).

We are now over $1,500,000.

Wrath of the Righteous is a great pick for a CRPG. I hope they continue adapting Paizo APs and do Iron Gods next. That would be great.

Uh, this doesn't have anything to do with the Goblinworks MMO. It's completely different and unrelated. Great way to drop a load of misinformation right at the start of a thread.

They released the Kingmaker Video Game. And many people like it.

Pathfinder online the game was way to ambitious. With an MMO you need to start smaller and keep adding features as updates. I'm a Software Engineer, and when I saw the list of feature for the online game, I knew they were biting off more than they could chew. It's a lot harder to make a quality MMO than it is to write a book, and Paizo is a publishing company so really didn't know what they were getting into. But making smaller games is the perfect way to be able to make an MMO in the future as you will have an experienced team and some reusable code.

I personally think Paizo needs to make a site that does what D&D Beyond does only for all their games. That will make it much easier to play Pathfinder and will get many more people into the game. I know there's HeroLabs, but that's pretty expensive just to be able to have a character you can take past level one it's $35. And There's no digital version of the content you buy, so you are basically buying multiple copies of the same book to have one to read and a character builder. Additionally the search feature on D&D beyond makes it much easier to DM, there is not content to even search on Herolabs, plus I like to be able to read the books digitally on my phone while I'm waiting around for things. D&D Beyond has made it very easy for people that have never played a tabletop RPG to get into D&D, every new player I see uses it.

Well, the entire game system for Pathfinder is FREE ONLINE, so if you feel slighted for having to buy an actual book to play it, then that's on you. And character builders are not a requirement for the game. It's no different than buying a dice tower. I don't expect Paizo to give me a dice tower with each book purchased either. It's a great tool for people that - you know - actually pay for it.

Buying a book or reading the free content online does not entitle you to a free character builder. Me paying for data packages to purchase a character builder is what gives me the right to expect a character builder to work and Hero Lab is a great tool for that. I've paid for every bit of PF1 Hero Lab data files and wholeheartedly endorse it, but not this entitled attitude that you should just have it for "reasons".

My actual point in that long ramble:
" Paizo needs to make a site that does what D&D Beyond does only for all their games. That will make it much easier to play Pathfinder and will get many new people into Pathfinder."

I literally have thousands of dollars of Paizo products and pay to use the character builder.

More combat animations have been funded.
Next goal racial archetypes and feats in 35k

Yep, alternate racial traits, 1 racial archetype per race, and racial feats.

I'm betting the Aasimar one is Oracle Purifier.

Anyways $1,710,000usd Tactical Battles For Armies is the one after. I look forward to tje details.
