"So this is actually separate from The Mandalorian season 3. I'm sure they won't both air at exactly the same time. By that argument, Doctor Who s14 is effectively Mando season 3. They're different shows.

My two New Republic credits on it:

1) I don't want a Season 3. At all. The finale completed a beautiful story arc for Mando. He took his helmet off. He cannot put it back on. It was honestly the most perfect ending for the show. Best to follow the example of "Fawlty Towers" and "The Office (UK)."

2) Fun fact about me: I am a die hard Star Wars fan. As in, I have over a dozen SW tattoos. My older daughter is Hannah but we call her "Han." And when my wife proposed the name "Leah" instead of my preferred "Esther," I warned her... "We will have two kids. One named Han and the other named Leah, pronounced as Leia."

If Luke Skywalker came to me and said he was going to take Leah from me to train to be a Jedi and I would never see her again (because emotional bonds are dangerous), yeah... I'd have to kick Luke Skywalker's a**. No two ways about it. I'd have to beat up Luke Skywalker.

Nothing bad on Mando. He did the right thing and gave up his son. But that's his right thing.
