D&D 5E 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

Except that the DM decides when you can attempt to hide. The reason this rule was written is to allow one to enter a room, look at a table and leave the room without making 3 checks. Because successive checks leads to automatic failure. It isn't made to allow stupid situation like the one you want, claiming to be able to roll in the morning when you cast all the spells temporarily giving you bonus and keeping them all day long, even after the spell giving the modifier expired. To prevent this silly situation from coming up, the rules said that the DM decides when one can roll for Stealth, not the player.

Still, you didn't post a complete build, so your roll is roughly around 5.

If the players are moving stealthily up a corridor, I don't even have them roll until they encounter bad guys. So if I'm DM, and you're sneaking up on a bugbear camp or whatever, it doesn't matter in the slightest what spells you had up earlier. You didn't roll your check until I say, something like, "You hear bugbears discussing the latest advances in biomedical research around the corner."

It's not pseudo-invisibility that you get to turn on whenever you want. The DM calls for a check when circumstances warrant. If you're creeping up a corridor, stop, drop PWT, cast some other spell, and resume your sneaking, new circumstances, new check. There's not a DM in the world who will let you keep using the old check. You seem to be under the impression that 5e's flexible adjudication means you always get rulings in your favor, no matter how implausible they may be, when that is just about the opposite of how it works.
How do I hide?
As a hide action in combat, or any time you attempt to hide, you make a Dexterity (Stealth) check and write down that number. As long as you remain in hiding, if any creature has a chance to detect your presence, their Passive Wisdom (Perception) score must beat your stealth check.

My number is 33~43+1d4, once.

Sorry.

I understand the rules here better than you seem to.

The Pass Without Trace spell went away, and without that bonus to your Stealth check, the Rog/Rgr was able to see you with his Passive Perception (which is like 30, and since you chose not to roll again, I went with something like the average, as opposed to something near the max).

BTW, the ruling you made (keeping the dice roll and removing the bonus that was no longer active) is compliant with Jeremy Crawford's ruling that you lose the bonus if you move outside of the range of the spell while he's active. From which we deduce that the bonus is lost when the spell is inactive... (in case anyone doubted that).

The DM calls for the check
The DM calls for the check
The DM calls for the check
The DM calls for the check
The DM calls for the check

Clear as water

Yeah, trying to roll your check and then moving out of the zone is the same thing as trying to roll your check and then dropping the zone entirely. No spell, no bonus.

Worth remembering we're arguing with someone who thinks you don't get to roll initiative at all if you're ambushed by an invisible creature.

I love low level, evil manipulative character stealhy casting and really strong and versatile on combat.

Its Fun.
The Bastion is an overpowered Evil PC ou villain.
It's fun for you perhaps. Most people, though, don't want to share the table with a powergaming, overly literalist rules lawyer who's obsessed with their character being the star who only rolls up edgelord Sorcerers and also likes to bring a brigade of every possible pet into every battle.

I don't know if that's how you actually play, but that's very much the playstyle you seem to be consistently advocating throughout this endless thread.
