D&D 5E 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

Yeah. 6th version of the rules.

I also like to remind people that, while the players may be rules lawyers, the DM is the rules judge, the rules jury, and the rules executioner (a job which he delegates to Yeenoghu as necessary).
Thanks. I don't play AL, so I don't keep track of what they do; I'm glad to see they recognized the problem, though.

I'll make it clear.
Bastion has unbeatiable stealth check.
Unbeatiable.
It can kill any Wizard subtly and with no chance of being affected for them. Can bind powerful creatures.
But, he is tired of cowards and goes into combat outside hidding.

Laugh at his face and call for combat.
The gladiator duel I proposed allows you to set up your Stealth after you have presented yourself to the crowd and been seen by them (and your opponent). Then you may go into the arena and do what you think good to Hide.

Convince a single DM to you roll iniciative against a imperceptible creature. :ROFLMAO: This would be a hilarious scene.
Every DM who goes by the rules is going to allow the PCs to roll initiative against something they don't know is there. Every DM who goes by the rules is going to allow their opposition to, as well.

I haven't always followed the rules exactly as a DM, because they haven't always fit in with the narrative leading up to the fight, but that was ... intentional, and it was never because I was out to screw anyone over, the way you seem to be.

There are a lot of DMs in this thread. All of us, so far, are convinced that once you start taking hostile actions, initiative is rolled.

The "ROFLMAO" emoji is not a PHB citation.
Hostile action that is imperceptible for the Target.
Sorry, It's metagame.
The target isn't involved in combat, no initiative.
