I think you misunderstood. You dimension door was triggered by the nightmare turning hostile, /after/ I dispelled the magic binding him. Hope this helps.

1. Yuan-ti A triggered Contingency of DDD at 240 ft from Sorcerer, dispelled the magic on his mount as his action, which triggered DDD on the sorcerer, to reach the ground.
2. Yuan-ti B triggered Contingency of DDD next to the grounded sorcerer, cast crown of Madness, you attacked him.

The grounded sorcerer can make a move or use a reaction or bonus action, then the flying simulacrum can have its turn.
