"Exandria Unlimited is the newest eight episode mini-campaign brought to you by, and existing within, the same world as Critical Role. Following a fresh-faced and freshly formed crew of characters, this adventure begins in Emon, a city still recovering from the scars of the Chroma Conclave attack nearly 30 years later."

The show features Matt Mercer (as a player not DM), Aabria Iyenger (who will be the DM for this show), Aimee Carrero (who currently plays She-Ra), Robbie Daymond (voice of Marvel's animated Spider-man), Ashley Johnson (co-founder of Critical Role), and Liam O'Brien (also from the main Critical Role show).

I am so hyped for this!

Yes. As I said “DM“ is not a trademark. Trademarks are very specific. You have to apply for - and pay for - each one.
What you mean no one has trademarked "DM"? I mean Direct Message / Direct Messaging (DMing) is so important in social media... :D

Sorry, I couldn't resist. We all have a jargon that applies to our jobs / hobbies and we assume everything relates to that.

overgeeked

B/X Known World
I may not matter that much, but I always use the term Game Master, be it D&D, Savage Worlds or Call of Cthulhu. I'm never into rule system / setting specific versions of GM.
I've always liked referee or Keeper better. Any version of "master" seems too authoritarian and reminds me of the Doctor Who villain.

Anyone willing to guess at the numbers on EXU? Most of the one shots eventually do about the same as the regular campaign episodes but start slow, numbers wise. But Undeadwood kinda tanked. It went from 1.5 million for the first episode down to 480k for the finale. That finale still pulled bigger numbers than any other live/actual play streams, but it's about half to a quarter of what regular CR episodes and one shots do. I think that's because it was edited, honestly. Random episode pull, the Call of Cthulhu one shot (Oct 2019) has 2 million views and C2E123 (Feb 2021) has 1.1 million.
