They do. It's also hard to enforce and hard to prove any damage was done unless someone got a super-secret question about what's coming out in November and also, here's Chris Perkins' cell phone number.
They claimed to be able to track me via my IP address and threatened me with fines if I said anything about what I saw.

Prior to that, I felt like I was being tested on my 5e rules knowledge. What does advantage mean? What die do you use to roll initiative with? Etc.

And then after the secret bit, they expected me to know how much I spent on various products over the past 12 months and wouldn't let me answer with "lots" or "too much". It had to be a number! Boo!

Man, I skipped straight from the rules quiz to how much I played. They told me they would show me a secret thing and then ... didn't.

The test was interesting: I think they wanted some info on how high knowledge and low.knkwledge players view the state kd the game.

"Hey, what do you think of all the PHB races, the PHB races' abilities and subraces" doesn't feel like questions you'd ask if you weren't creating a new PHB.

I think if they were working on a new PHB, they wouldn't have been so focused on races. They asked nothing about classes or any other rules, it just seems like they're considering de-emphasizing racial stuff in the future, in the vein of Tasha's.
